The Asia Architecture Design Awards (AADA) proudly announces the winners of its 2025 season - an inspiring chapter that reaffirms the creative vitality and transformative power of Asian architecture in today’s rapidly evolving world.

Under the theme Vibrant Asia, this year’s awards sought to capture the pulse of a continent in motion - where ancient wisdom meets contemporary innovation, and local identity finds renewed voice in bold, future-facing design. 

Launched in August 2024 and closing for submissions in March 2025, this season drew an unprecedented volume of entries from across the region. Spanning 6 disciplines - Architecture Design, Interior Design, Furniture Design, Firms in Architecture Design, Firms in Interior Design, and Firms in Furniture Manufacturing & Retailing - and comprising 30 award categories, the programme reflected the full spectrum of creative and professional excellence in Asia’s built environment. Each submission was a testament to the region’s diversity, dynamism, and depth of thought shaping Asia’s built environment.

Of the many entries received, 110 outstanding projects emerged to form this year’s shortlist. Significantly, this edition of the AADA marked a notable moment in the awards’ growth, with first-time entries from Kazakhstan and Turkey signaling a broadening of its geographical reach. These new voices brought fresh perspectives to the competition, standing alongside acclaimed contributions from long-established AADA participants such as Thailand, India, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Japan. This expansion not only highlights the rising stature of the AADA as a benchmark for architectural excellence, but also underscores the increasingly interconnected dialogue shaping Asia’s built environment.

Several categories in 2025 AADA proved exceptional competition, with a remarkable number of entries submitted for Asia’s Best Hospitality Architecture Design, Asia’s Best Residential Architecture Design, Asia’s Best Conceptual Architecture Design, and Asia’s Best Residential Interior Design. Faced with many projects that were equally compelling in vision and execution, the jurors had to make nuanced decisions to identify the very best among the best - who not only met the technical criteria but also captured the spirit of “Vibrant Asia” through bold storytelling, cultural authenticity, and forward-thinking design.

From this intensely competitive field, 63 official winners were distilled. With broader geographic representation and a rise in the number of awardees, this year’s selection reflects the expanding reach and rising standards compared to the previous season. These winners stood out not only for their technical and aesthetic excellence, their spirit of Vibrant Asia but for their capacity to respond to social, cultural, and ecological urgencies with architectural solutions that are as intelligent as they are inspiring.

Building on the potential of Asian architecture, another key highlight of the 2025 AADA was the Student League - a new discipline aimed at nurturing the next generation of design talent across Asia. Though the inaugural call for student entries received a modest number of submissions, it uncovered striking potential. Two projects rose to particular prominence: Mỹ Gia Villa, a refined take on vernacular domesticity, and PrayaEdge, a visionary coastal proposal responding to climate resilience. Both were singled out by the jury for their clarity of concept, creative ambition, and emotional depth.

The 2025 AADA Winners’ Night will take place on July 25 at The Shilla Seoul, South Korea, bringing together leading architects, designers, and creative minds from across the region for an evening of celebration, exchange, and inspiration.
