Asia Architecture Design Awards (AADA) proudly unveils its 2025 theme: "Vibrant Asia." This dynamic concept captures the essence of Asia’s cultural richness, architectural traditions, and innovative spirit. With this theme, AADA reaffirms its dedication to honoring the diverse perspectives and creativity shaping the continent’s architectural identity.

This commitment to diversity is evident in every aspect of the AADA, starting with the submissions themselves. In recent years, the award has seen an unprecedented influx of entries from across the continent. 

In 2024 AADA, the award witnessed over 1500 registered accounts on the website, with 606 amazing projects registered to participate. Projects from emerging markets such as Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines now stand alongside established architectural powerhouses like China, India and South Korea.

The AADA's commitment to diversity is further reflected in its wide range of categories. Recognizing that architectural excellence takes many forms, the awards honor everything from large-scale urban developments of Architecture, Landscape Planning to intimate Interior Designs and Furniture Retailers, building the number of 6 disciplines and 30 categories. 

This year, we even launched a totally new division - Student League, which specifically recognizes promising young architects in 10 different aspects of architecture design. This variety ensures that the AADA can recognize excellence across the full spectrum of architectural practice, from grand civic projects to small but impactful community initiatives.

The diversity of the AADA extends to its jury as well. The 2023 and 2024 panel brings together 20 renowned architects, urban planners, and design critics from across Asia. And for the year of 2025, the award promises to ensure a fair and comprehensive evaluation process that considers projects within both their local context and global significance. Having a diverse jury cultural background allows us to appreciate the nuances of each project and understand its impact from multiple cultural perspectives. This diversity of thought leads to richer discussions and more meaningful recognition.
