The concept behind STORII BY ITC HOTELS MOIRA RIVIERA, GOA was to recreate the serene atmosphere and slow-paced lifestyle reminiscent of the old Goa. Located in an offbeat and tranquil setting, the resort is nestled amidst lush green paddy fields and backwaters, with picturesque mountains serving as a backdrop. The property embodies undiscovered Goa, setting its rhythm with the harmonious sounds of bird songs that pervade the surroundings. The journey from securing the ideal location to designing and obtaining permissions took a meticulous process spanning two years, followed by three years of construction and six months of finalization, including acquiring all necessary clearances.

The primary objective was to design a boutique resort that would attract guests seeking solace and tranquility in natural surroundings. With the rising trend of bleisure (business and leisure) travel, where business and leisure intertwine, the hotel aimed to cater to diverse age groups and customer demands. It prioritized spaciousness and luxury, limiting the room inventory to no more than 20 rooms. The sloping site, gently descending towards peaceful backwaters in a serene locale, dictated the design's adherence to the natural contours and edges of the land. Local building culture and regulations were carefully respected throughout the property's design process. Today, STORII BY ITC HOTELS MOIRA RIVIERA, GOA stands as a testament to "Responsible Luxury" and has partnered with a renowned hotel chain.

The impact of this architectural marvel extends beyond its aesthetic and functional aspects. Moira, the previously overlooked town, has now secured its place on the tourist map thanks to this property. The stunning architecture has garnered attention and brought newfound recognition to this once-sleepy town. The involvement of a reputed hotel brand has enhanced the credibility of both the property and Moira itself, instilling a sense of pride among the local community. The massing of the resort consists of three blocks arranged in a U-shape, opening onto central greens and a pool overlooking the river. These blocks encompass the arrival experience, the living experience, and the retreat experience, offering a range of amenities and accommodations for guests.
